Every year its the same story and like every other time administration
has to face the wrath of the locals and yet they have no perfect solution to avert this problem.Summer has not yet fully arrived and already people here are facing water crisis.People have to wait in long lines, water tankers are coming in midnight.Women and children have to deal with mobs to get a mere gallon.

so now this has started to happen in the beautiful queen of hills. i think more than blaming Govt we need to take notice of global warming. If this has reached to this level that ppl in Shimla has to wait in ques to fill their water buckets...i can well imagine what’s coming up next.

In the good old days Shimla was the queen of the hills. And a must visit for the British during their summer sojourn. But today the town is struggling for its basis necessities. The words famous, chasma system of water, was never ready for the influx of so many footfalls and it infrastructure just cant keep up the pace with the rapid development.

Well for people looking in from outside the things might look grim, but for people who are actually stuck in this thing, it is worse. Let me just tell you that we don’t have water in the taps as I write this. And as Sameer points out rightly, we haven’t even the peak of summers as yet.
